Statistical data shows that about 60 percent of people in the UK travel alone, which means that a large amount of greenhouse gasses is emitted into the air and there’s little chance to avoid traffic jams.
To be able to solve the problem, a designer came up with this original three-wheeled concept vehicle.
Not only it requires less space, it is also lightweight and much more efficient compared to conventional four-wheel cars.
This model was designed by Tom Kent, who thought of creating a three-wheeled car with a built-in electric engine. His eco-friendly vehicle is called “Cell” and it is meant to help drivers avoid traffic jams and cut the level of carbon dioxide emissions.
Besides being powered by a pack of electric batteries, the Cell also includes a one-of-a-kid shape changing mechanism. On congested streets the driver can make the vehicle narrower. However, this will only be possible if the speed of the vehicle does not exceed 20 km/h.
The Cell features see-through solar panels, mounted on its roof and the side. Using these panels, the car can harness solar energy to charge the onboard batteries, while allowing the natural light to illuminate the cabin.
