BMW Hydrogen Salt Flat Racer is Based on Recycling and Reuse of Materials
The wheels you can see in the images are made out of gel-nylon and they can flex as needed. Tires are airless and be re-vulcanized or re-treaded at any time.
The BMW hydrogen-powered salt flat racer pictured below was part of the 2008 LA Auto Show Design Challenge. This vehicle is based on the principle of reusing materials, like old oil barrels or barbeque lids. BMW have tried to make this concept car environmentally-friendly and they seem to have succeeded.
This car is sustainable and it uses an unique idea to verify the emissions, either goldfish or canaries, that will get sick unless you’re running clean without polluting Mother Nature.

Bentley Aero Ace Speed VI, Eco-Friendly Supercar
The Bentley Aero Ace is a concept supercar created by auto designer, Gabriel Tam, and it is inspired from the original Speed 6, which won at Le Mans, back in the 1920s. The design of this car is focused on improving the aerodynamic properties, for better efficiency and speed.
The wheels of the vehicle design are semi enclosed to further improve the aerodynamics, while the 1+1 seating layout offers focused driving experience and optimal weight distribution. Overall, the Aero Ace supercar underlines the raw aggression of a race car, while keeping the elegance of a Bentley and it’s environmentally friendly.

Bugatti Type 57 Evoluzione, Takes You Back to the 1930s
This concept car, like the original Type 57, has a stretched bonnet, smooth curves and a split line which bisects the car down the middle. This Bugatti supercar design is the revival of the classic Type 57, with a touch of modern technology.
Designer Edwin Conan brings us another retro inspired supercar: the Bugatti Type 57 Evoluzione concept. This amazing supercar is inspired from the original Bugatti Type 57, dating back from 1930s.
The vehicle is powered by a front mid placed, impressive 8 litre W16 engine (like the Bugatti Veyron). The Type 57 Evoluzione is also eco-friendly, since its customized engine runs on liquid hydrogen, resulting in zero CO2 emissions.

Bugatti Renaissance Concept, Rebirth of the Veyron
The Bugatti Renaissance is a concept car created by Canadian designer John Mark Vicente. He is a graduate of the Communication Design program at the Emily Carr University and what you can see below we consider to be the ultimate supercar.
At the front of the car, the grill has grown in size and the headlights have been redesigned, now resembling the ones on the Audi R8 and also it has a carbon fiber skirt that fits great. Above the cockpit we notice that the twin roof vents are now slightly larger.
At the back, there are two larger vents, redesigned tail lights and the Bugatti logo framed by a red line that goes all the way to the roof scoops. The car uses impressive 26 inch rims. Thought the Veyron couldn’t get any better? Apparently it can!

The Renaissance is a model based on the Bugatti Veyron, but it could well be, in the future, the vehicle that replaces it. Although running on the same platform as the Veyron, the exterior design of this concept Bugatti is far more aggressive, and overall…better.

Lotus Hybrid
The Evora 414E Hybrid concept is the first ever Lotus Hybrid, and has been shown a few days ago at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. Despite using a fuel efficient drivetrain, this concept vehicle is still a thrilling car, that manages to sprint from 0 to 60 Mph in under 4 seconds, thanks to its output of 408 hp.
The electrical power is stored in a lithium-ion battery pack, which is placed at the center of the car, for stability and safety. Since the car will run most of the time on electricity, this Lotus concept car features a HALOsonic Internal and External Electronic Sound Synthesis system that makes it sound like a vehicle with an internal combustion engine, making it safe for pedestrians.

The Lotus Evora 414E has two electric motors (one for each rear wheel) and uses an extended-range electric vehicle (E-REV) system, which means it can run on battery power alone for a range of 35 miles, before an optimised 1.2 litre, three-cylinder gas engine with an output of 47 hp, kicks in and acts as a generator, offering an additional range of about 300 miles.

Mazda Concept Crossover SUV Ready to Amaze Moscow
Front Open Wheel Racer Concept Would Make the Batmobile
Batmobile who? Just look at this beauty, seemingly a hybrid between an F1 automobile, the famous Batmobile and some buggie I was driving in Halo 3. It’s been designed by Jeff Smith, with the aid of Sketchbook Pro and the vehicle features a cockpit hatch and 80’s style rear Camero air intake vents. The concept is called the “Front Open Wheel Racer” and we might be looking at the racing vehicle of … let’s say 2012.
Seems that we’ll be seeing a brand new compact crossover SUV at the Moscow Motor Show that starts late next month. The concept car you can check out in the sketches below uses the Nagare design language, but the vehicle doesn’t bare a name yet.
Since studies show that the SUVs are a hit in Russia (20% of the market), the new Mazda CUV will be designed for that Eastern market. This car can be considered a conceptual follow-up to the Ryuga, Hakaze, Taiki and Furai, all of them based on the Nagare design.

Saab Spyker 9+ Tribute Concept Car
The Saab Spyker 9+ Tribute is a concept car imagined by Swedish designer Eduard Gray, graduate of the Coventry University (UK), with a Bachelor Degree 2:1 in Industrial Product Design.
The exterior design is pure Saab, featuring simple lines, turbine-style wheels, trademark headlights and the Saab grille, but also a big windshield that extends over the entire roof top. To quote Eduard Gray: “This design, the 9+ Saab Spyker Tribute, is just a quick expression of my optimism for the future of the brand.”

Toyota Biomobile Mecha, Supercar Concept of 2050
Toyota Biomobile Mecha relies on nanotechnology and it’s able to expand and contract, both horizontally and vertically. This is a huge advantage for people who need a compact car when the parking space is tight, but also a slim and aerodynamic ride on the fast roads of the future.
There’s a “real time strategic navigation planning system” aboard the Toyota vehicle, basically a 3D scanner of the surrounding environment, that’ll guide the car anywhere you want to go and allow it to adapt to any situation.

Venturi Volage Electric Supercar
The aerodynamic carbon fibre body kit, designed by Sacha Lakic, and the aluminium and composite material chassis make the Volage light, which is very important considering the Lithium-Polymer batteries used are quite heavy (350 kgs). With an overall weight of just 1,075 kgs and an even distribution (45% at the front and 55% at the rear), the supercar goes up to 62 mph in less than 5 seconds.
Benefiting from Michelin’s Active Wheel technology, the Venturi Volage concept uses two incorporated electric motors for each wheel (one for drive and one for suspension), resulting in a total of 8 electric motors.
Expected to come into limited production in 2012, each car will be assembled by hand at the Venturi workshops in Monaco.
The North American International Auto Show (Detroit) was the perfect opportunity for French auto manufacturer Venturi, to present once again its electric supercar concept, the Volage.
First introduced at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, this concept vehicle is a two-seater, four-wheel drive sports car and it’s the result of the collaboration between Venturi Automobiles and tire manufacturers Michelin.
