TVR introduced three new models: MD-1, MD-2, MD-3

The revived company TVR is planning to introduce three new models. Production of the first of them – two-seat coupe, called the MD-1, could begin in spring 2012. In an interview with a Swiss magazine Revenue Automobile said the automakers owner, a Russian businessman Nikolai Smolensky, said portal PistonHeads.

MD-1 will build on the modernized platform Convertible Tuscan, which was slightly lower and wider. As previously reported, the company TVR is not going to go back to producing its own engines: the MD-1 will install the 6.2-liter V8 engine from the “Corvette.”
According to Smolensky, produced a new car will be outside the UK, although now he has received a sufficient number of offers from British companies. Most likely, the entrepreneur will choose one of the sites in Germany. Nevertheless, the foreign proceeding does not interfere with TVR to keep its image as a British brand, says Smolensky.
