Lotus Presents 414E Evora Hybrid Supercar at Geneva Show

 

With its new eco-friendly vehicle Lotus has made it clear that the company is serious about starting producing hybrid cars. At the Geneva 2010 Auto Show Lotus presented its Evora 414E Hybrid concept supercar, which boasts a range of 300 miles.
The company’s new supercar has two electric motors that accelerate the car from 0 to 60 in 4 seconds. The auto show offers a large number of all-electric and hybrid cars from 250 carmakers, and the Lotus model has one of the most impressive appearances.
The new Lotus vehicle is cheaper, faster and all-in-all better. The 35kW 1.2 liter petrol engine generates energy for the car’s battery pack whenever the Evora needs to be juiced up.
The Lotus supercar collects energy in a 17 kilowatt hour battery that allows the car to travel up to 35 miles exclusively on electric mode. The HALOsonic vehicle sound generator, incorporated in the Evora, warns pedestrians when the car approaches. The company decided to place the generator due to the car’s very quiet engine.
